Eligibility Requirements
- IMAGO Full Member Societies in good standing may submit one entry per category, per society.
- The submitted film must be a fiction feature film, publicly exhibited, released, broadcast, streamed, screened at a festival, or otherwise made available to the public during the eligibility period.
- Films must be submitted in their original language; non-English films require English subtitles.
- First official release must have occurred between November 1, 2024, and October 31, 2026.
- The cinematographer must be credited on screen as "Cinematographer," "Director of Photography," or equivalent. Where two or more cinematographers share equal credit, all must be submitted jointly and, if awarded, receive the Award jointly.
IMAGO YSO Award - Additional Requirements
- The submitted film must be the cinematographer's first or second feature film.
- The cinematographer must be active in the submitting society's national film industry; society membership is not required.
Best Cinematography Award - Additional Requirements
- The society should nominate the feature film that best represents the society.
Required Submission Materials
- Completed submission form
- Screening link or digital screening copy
- Production information
- Biography and filmography of the cinematographer
- At least three (3) production stills
- At least two (2) photographs of the cinematographer
- Trailer or promotional excerpt
- Contact information for the cinematographer
- Confirmation of eligibility
- A letter/email from the governing body of the submitting Member Society confirming approval and compliance with the Regulations
